Bookkeeping + monthly close

Books you can actually use to make decisions — reconciled, categorized, and delivered with commentary.

What’s included

  • Monthly close on QuickBooks Online — every account reconciled, no rolling “uncategorized” pile
  • Bank + credit card reconciliation across every active account
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable review with aging reports
  • Loan, payroll, and merchant-services entries kept current (not just bank feeds)
  • Monthly statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) delivered by mid-month with a written summary
  • Year-end clean-up handoff straight into tax prep — no rebuild needed at filing time

How we work

Books close on an agreed monthly schedule. You receive a written summary or recorded walkthrough covering what changed, what deserves attention, and what requires a decision.

We work in your QuickBooks Online file rather than maintaining a parallel set of records. If you do not have QuickBooks Online yet, we can establish the file; if you do, we begin with the records you already have.

Bookkeeping and tax preparation work best when the handoff is deliberate. We can coordinate with an existing bookkeeper or manage the monthly records directly, depending on what best fits the business.

Who this is for

  • Owners who already use QuickBooks Online but the books are perpetually 2-3 months behind
  • New businesses that need books stood up from day one (so the first tax return isn’t a forensic exercise)
  • Owners who keep their own books and want a monthly review pass — catch errors before they compound
  • Businesses prepping for financing where the bank wants clean monthly statements

Engagement approach

The engagement is scoped after reviewing transaction volume, account structure, entities, and the depth of accounts-payable and accounts-receivable activity. Responsibilities, reporting cadence, and timing are documented before the monthly work begins.

What to send when you reach out

  • Approximate monthly transaction volume (or just the last bank statement)
  • Whether you’re on QuickBooks Online today (and if so, since when)
  • What’s not working with the current setup
  • Any open year-end items still hanging
